Andrew Bloch is the Humanities Teacher at Trinity Academy at Concordia University Nebraska. For the 2024-2025 school year, he will teach Algebra I, Latin I and II, and American History at TAC. He earned his MA from Concordia Seminary in 2019 and wrote a thesis for this degree entitled, “Recapitulation and Christ’s Active Obedience: A Lutheran Retrieval of Irenaeus.” His current dissertation research at Concordia Seminary centers on the Christology of Maximus the Confessor. Andrew has a forthcoming translation of three Latin treatises on patience by North African Church Fathers: De Patientia by Tertullian, De Bono Patientiae by Cyprian, and De Patientia by Augustine. He and his wife Lindsay enjoy spending time together as a family with their children Philip, Leona, and Rhoda, reading and discussing old books and languages, and playing board games.
