Save the date for CCLE XXVII, graciously sponsored by the Indiana District of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.
As artificial intelligence increasingly shapes education and society, CCLE XXVII will consider what it means to be truly human, the nature and purpose of intelligence, and the enduring role of classical Lutheran education in forming students in wisdom, virtue, and faith. The conference will feature more than 50 sessions exploring the theology, philosophy, curriculum, pedagogy, and practice of classical Lutheran education including an opening address by Rev. Dr. D. Richard Stuckwisch, President of the LCMS Indiana District.
We are pleased to announce our plenary speakers:
Mr. Joshua Pauling — Headmaster at All Saints Classical Academy and vicar at All Saints Lutheran Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is the author of Education’s End and co-author, with Robin Phillips, of Are We All Cyborgs Now? Reclaiming Our Humanity from the Machine.
Rev. Dr. A. Trevor Sutton — Senior Pastor of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Lansing, Michigan, Adjunct Professor of Theology at Concordia University Irvine, and an affiliate scholar with the Acton Institute. His work frequently explores the intersection of theology, technology, and the Church in the digital age. He is the author of seven books including Between Hurry and Heaven, Irreplaceable (co-author) and Being Lutheran.
Dr. Carl P. E. Springer — SunTrust Bank Chair of Excellence in the Humanities, Professor in the Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and author of numerous works, including The Latin Verse of Martin Luther: Texts, Translations and Commentary, Luther’s Rome, Rome’s Luther, Cicero in Heaven, and Luther’s Aesop.
